I am running for the TCAPS Board of Education because I believe every student deserves the opportunity to achieve their full potential. As a former elementary teacher, current educator of adults, parent of three TCAPS students—including two graduates and one current student—and a longtime volunteer and leader within TCAPS, I have experienced our district from many perspectives.
My commitment to TCAPS spans decades through service on the Student Advisory Sex Education Board, the Safer Kids, Safer Schools Task Force, and as Chair of the TC West Choir Organization. These experiences have given me a deep appreciation for the strengths of our district and the opportunities ahead.
As a board member, I will support strong governance focused on student achievement, literacy and mathematics growth, accountability, fiscal responsibility, and successful implementation of the district’s strategic plan. I believe that by working collaboratively with families, staff, students, and community members, we can continue to build on TCAPS’ tradition of excellence while ensuring every student is prepared for success after graduation.
